rp-7 valve issues HELP PLEASE!!!

New to forum and effects. A friend at work gave me an rp-7 valve multi effect box. After replacing the battery and plugging it in the only thing I see is the bank and program lights. I also tried the factory reset deal to no avail. Would a bad tube create this scenario or is the unit bricked? Power supply maybe? Another option is to locate a repair shop. ANY and ALL suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance, Jeff
