The DigiTech® Amp Driver distortion is designed to turn a regular distorted amp into a monster. The Amp Driver not only distorts the guitar's signal but also boosts frequencies around 600Hz. By emphasizing these frequencies amps can be driven harder and take on more of a heavy metal tone. A mean sound is not only determined by how much gain you put in front of your amp, but how hard you drive the amp and with what boosted frequencies the amp is driven.
