Obscura Altered Delay & Boneshaker Distortion
http://www.digitech.com http://www.dod.com http://www.waves.com When these two arrived on my desk recently there was no way I couldn't try them out. My life is pretty busy at the moment between touring and the recording of an album so I only had about 10-15 minutes. Solution: Jack an Ibanez RG2228 into the sound card, dial up a couple of amp sims (Waves CLA guitars 'clean' setting) and go for it. This is the resulting jam. This video only touches the surface of what the Obscura Altered Delay can do. It's a very cool looking but unassuming box of clever tricks and I'll have to do a separate demo for it when time permits in the next month. The Boneshaker is a distortion aimed squarely at users of extended range instruments or bass players and is a collaboration between Tom Cram's newly invigorated DOD and the Blackarts crew. And oh what fun it is! Both pedals are excellent. Anyway, here's my first-take-jam for your amusement. More to come.
