UPCOMING EVENTS IN APRIL

We just got back from the Portland Synth & Pedal Show, and it was a fantastic time. It was great connecting with so many of you talking pedals, sharing ideas, and getting to show off the fun and inspiring DOD/DigiTech lineup. Events like these always remind us why we love being part of this community.

It’s also always a highlight catching up with fellow builders. For the second show in a row, we were set up next to our friends Sean and Danny from Keeley Pedals. Not only do they make incredible gear, they’re genuinely awesome people. We’re already looking forward to seeing them again at the LA Synth & Pedal Show this June and the Brooklyn Synth & Pedal show in Oct. We’re still finding our land legs after an unforgettable week on the Monsters of Rock Cruise (April 12–17). What a ride. We were onboard showcasing pedals and letting players plug in and experience them firsthand, but let’s be real, we were also soaking in the music, catching incredible bands, and having an absolute blast out on the high seas. One of the highlights? Sponsoring the onboard “Do You Think You Can Shred?” contest alongside our friends at Randall Amplifiers and Washburn Guitars. The level of talent was unreal, and it made for some seriously fun moments. Safe to say, this won’t be our last voyage and several of us are already asking if they can go on next year’s cruise. Want to learn more about the MoRC experience? Check it out here: https://monstersofrockcruise.com/

Next stop: Texas! If you’re in the Dallas area, come see us at the Dallas International Guitar Festival the largest vintage guitar show around. We’ll be there May 1–3, 2026, posted up at the Jimmy Wallace Guitar booth. This will be our first time exhibiting at the show, and we couldn’t be more excited. There’s a good chance we’ll have something new on our boards for you to check out. https://www.guitarshow.com/

Product Spotlight: DigiTech Trio+

“Your Band in a Box”

Looking for a band that’s always ready to jam? The DigiTech TRIO+ makes it happen. This innovative pedal listens to how you play and automatically generates bass and drum parts to match your style, timing, and feel. Whether you’re sketching ideas, practicing, or performing solo, the TRIO+ transforms a simple chord progression into a full, dynamic backing band in seconds.

The TRIO+ didn’t just impress players, it earned serious industry recognition, including the NAMM TEC Award for Outstanding Technical Achievement and multiple “Best in Show” honors at the NAMM Show. Its intuitive design and powerful technology have made it a favorite among guitarists who want inspiration without complexity. At its core, it offers 12 music genres, 12 song styles per genre, and the ability to create fully arranged song parts like verses, choruses, and bridges all with simple footswitch controls.

Here are the features:

What really sets the TRIO+ apart is how musical and responsive it feels. It doesn’t just loop or play static backing tracks, it adapts to you. You can teach it multiple song sections, program sequences, and fine-tune the mix of bass and drums to suit your sound. Built-in effects like delay and distortion coincide with the genres you chose. The tempo control gives you even more flexibility by speeding up or slowing down your recorded tracks making it a powerful songwriting and practice tool in one compact unit.

The TRIO+ SD card slot allows you to save your songs for later recall, making it ideal for musicians performing multiple sets in a night. After finishing a set, simply remove the SD card and insert another one with your additional songs. This feature is perfect for musicians playing in coffeehouses, restaurants, or clubs.

Using the TRIO+ as a practice tool is incredibly useful. Imagine working on solos at home without interrupting band rehearsal, or developing a song idea to present to your band. One of the most valuable features is its ability to aid in songwriting and soloing. You can test whether your ideas work together as a song or lay down a chord progression to practice scales and improvisation. Overall, the TRIO+ is the ultimate tool for performance, songwriting, and practice. Let’s not over look the looper-it’s an essential piece of the TRIO+. With a fully integrated phrase looper that syncs seamlessly with the generated band, you can layer your own parts on top without missing a beat. The TRIO+ is not just another pedal-it’s a creative partner that keeps your ideas moving.

Vintage Spotlight: Hardwire RV-7 Reverb

When DigiTech introduced the HardWire RV-7 Reverb Pedal, it quietly set a new benchmark for what a compact digital reverb could achieve. At its core were Lexiconpowered algorithms, bringing the same lush, studio-grade ambience found in high-end rack units into a stompbox format. With seven distinct modes ranging from room and plate to reverse and modulated, the RV-7 offered players a full spectrum of reverb textures, all easily shaped with intuitive Level, Liveliness, and Decay controls.

What truly made the RV-7 stand out was how it balanced versatility with tone integrity. The inclusion of true bypass ensured that your dry signal remained untouched when the pedal was off, while its higher internal voltage design helped preserve clarity and headroom when engaged. Whether you were chasing subtle ambience or massive, atmospheric washes, the pedal responded with a natural feel that many digital reverbs struggled to replicate. Add in stereo inputs and outputs, and the RV-7 became a powerful tool not just for guitarists, but for anyone building immersive, dimensional rigs.

Beyond its sound, the RV-7 earned respect for its tanklike construction and reliability. Built with premium all-metal components, it was designed to survive heavy touring while maintaining consistent performance night after night. Even years after its release, the pedal remains something of a cult favorite often praised for delivering boutique-quality reverbs at a time when that level of sound was far less accessible. In a crowded pedal market, the HardWire RV-7 didn’t just compete, it became one of the most trusted reverb units of its era.

The Hardwire RV-7 is still out there holding its place on pedalboards around the world. Every now and then, one surfaces on the used market and when it does, it doesn’t stick around for long.If you happen to come across one, don’t hesitate. Grab it, drop it onto your board, or add it to your tone library you’ll be glad you did.

There’s a reason this pedal has stood the test of time. From rich ambient washes to deep, lush reverbs that seem to bloom under your fingers, the RV-7 delivers a depth and musicality that keeps players coming back. It’s not just a pedal, it’s a sound you’ll fall in love with every time you plug in.
